Hydrabead Filter
|
Fluidart's® Hydrabead® filter is available in three sizes for
smaller ponds. Easy to install, it is ideal for space-limited
situations.
The Hydrabead® filter first introduced hydraulic back-
wash to bead filters. Hydrabead® filters utilize a smaller
bead than conventional bead filters, providing greater
surface area for better biological filtration. The smaller
bead also helps "polish" the water.
In maintenance, the pump delivers a thorough backwash
and rinse through the multiport valve. The sludge
removal drain at the bottom assures full removal of waste
with no dirty discharge to the pond.
For maintenance, the Hydrabead® filter opens at the
middle of the tank, providing easy access to the
internals. Hydrabead® filters are made of tough injection
molded ABS.
A side-mounted multiport valve is standard. Rated at a
5.5 psi drop @ 95 gpm, the Hydrabead® produces the
industry’s lowest head pressure ratings.

- Flows of 30-80 gallons/min.
- Water Miser Drain for low volume backwash.
- Rated 50psi, can be placed away from pond.
- Surface area/volume ratio 500-550 sq.ft/cu.ft.
- Can be used with or without a pre-filter.
