Skimmers
Skimmers are a important component to have a low maintenance pond that is clean and natural looking. The skimmer protects your pump and keeps debris from settling to the bottom and causing ammonia spikes and increasing algae problems. The pump goes in the back of a skimmer and not in the bottom of the pond. If you use a skimmer you will never have to go in the pond to service your pump again.
